Biography

Sarudzayi Marufu is an entrepreneur, producer, and ecosystem builder working at the intersection of the creative industries, technology, and economic development.

She is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Symphony Innovations, an ambitious initiative developing a large-scale creative and innovation ecosystem in Kenya. The project integrates film and media production infrastructure, technology and AI innovation, renewable energy systems, training facilities, and enterprise development, with the aim of positioning Kenya as a global hub for the creative economy.

Sarudzayi is also the founder of Euras Films, which develops internationally oriented film and television projects and champions globally relevant storytelling across international markets.

She is the creator of the Boomerang Fund, a development fund designed to strategically position and package film and television projects for success in the international marketplace.

Alongside this, she leads Beyond The Canon, a platform dedicated to developing, publishing, and adapting works by writers from the global majority across theatre, film, and audio.
Through her work across cultural production, infrastructure development, and new financing models, Sarudzayi contributes to international conversations on the creative economy and advocates for the creative industries as a powerful engine for economic growth, global cultural exchange, and international collaboration.
