Visa Information

Kenya has introduced an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) system for foreign visitors. Travellers who require an eTA must apply online via the official Government of Kenya portal before departure.

eTA Requirements:
  • A valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the date of entry
  • A recent passport-size photograph.
  • Basic travel details, including flight and accommodation information
  • A credit or debit card for the processing fee.
Regional Exemptions:
Citizens of East African Community (EAC) member states are currently exempt from the eTA requirement and may enter Kenya without a visa, in line with regional protocols. Delegates should, however, still travel with valid identification and confirm any updated rules before departure.
Application Timing:
Applications are generally processed within three (3) business days/72 hours but may take longer depending on the verification processes.
