Towett Ngetich
Manager, CLASP
Biography
Towett Ngetich leads venture-building initiatives at CLASP under the UK aid-funded Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) programme. With nearly a decade of experience as an investor, entrepreneur, and venture builder across Sub-Saharan Africa, he specialises in de-risking and scaling early-stage clean cooking enterprises that combine technical performance, commercial viability, and measurable impact.
His current focus is on institutional clean cooking solutions — supporting high- potential ventures delivering electric and thermal-storage cookstoves to schools, technical training institutes (TTIs), and large-scale kitchens. Towett works directly with entrepreneurs to strengthen business models, unlock carbon finance, secure PAYGo and bank partnerships, and prepare for Series A capital.
Previously, Towett supported early-stage companies at 54 Collective, growth-stage investments at AHL Venture Partners, and impact funds at 17 Asset Management. He is also a founder who successfully built and exited Uthabiti Health. He holds an MSc from Queen Mary University of London.
Towett is a regular speaker on unlocking private capital for clean cooking and accelerating the institutional transition to modern energy cooking services in Kenya and Africa.
