Betty Kibaara is a Director and the Africa Lead within the Food Initiative at The Rockefeller Foundation, where she leads transformative strategies to advance sustainable and resilient food systems across the continent. Her work focuses on improving nutrition, strengthening local food markets, and expanding impactful programs such as school feeding and regenerative school meals that benefit both children and smallholder farmers.

Betty also champions institutional clean cooking solutions, working to integrate cleaner, more efficient cooking technologies into large-scale programs such as school feeding systems. This work helps reduce environmental impact, improve health outcomes, and strengthen climate- resilient food systems.
