Head of Office and Country Representative for Kenya, UNIDO
Biography
Tally Einav is the Head of Office and UNIDO Representative to Kenya, Eritrea, and South Sudan, bringing over 15 years of experience in sustainable development and international cooperation. Since her arrival to Kenya in early 2024, she has expanded the Office’s portfolio, mobilized resources, and strengthened UNIDO’s partnerships with the UN, bilateral donors, multilateral and financial institutions, and the private sector. The work of her Office emphasizes value addition in economic zones (CAIPs, SEZs) and value chains such as coffee, leather, and livestock while advancing circular economy practices and inclusivity.
With UNIDO since 2009, Ms. Einav has coordinated initiatives such as the inquiry into UNIDO’s normative role and the African Agribusiness and Agro-industries Development Initiative (3ADI), linking investments to structural transformation. She holds a master’s degree in organizational development, certifications in sustainable development, and degrees in Political Science and Communications, combining vision and execution to deliver UNIDO’s mandate of Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development.
