Yvonne Nyokabi

Biography

Yvonne Nyokabi is a climate change specialist currently leading the climate portfolio at UNDP Kenya, with over twelve years of experience designing climate programmes and mobilizing finance for climate action and sustainable development across Africa. Her work focuses on developing investment-ready climate initiatives, strengthening climate finance ecosystems, and building strategic partnerships that unlock public and private financing for climate and nature-based solutions. She has supported governments in strengthening climate finance frameworks, institutional capacity as welll as coordination mechanisms.

Yvonne has designed and managed multi-sectoral climate initiatives worth tens of millions of dollars that catalyze climate action and expand financing opportunities. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Strathmore Business School.
